I'm not even sure exactly what a Rat Rod is, but I'm gettin' ready to build one and I'd just like to say that it's great to find a forum where you actually say "Rat" without gettin' flamed by bunch of clowns who get their knickers in a wad at the mere mention of a stupid word!

Every daily-driver I owned 'till I was 30 was pretty much a ratty piece of crap!

Don't get me wrong, a decade or so ago I built a couple show winning frame-off resto cars that were damned-near perfect right down to the color coded inspection marks on the brake lines,.....but  I got burnt out on perfectionists and all the heartache they can cause.  So I'm ready at the ripe old age of 57 to build a nice hot rod that looks better dirty than when clean and that none of the perfectionists'll even LOOK at!

  Thanks guys,.....well I'm sure gonna try my best to have as much fun as some of you,...I've been reading a lot of your posts and I really like what I see. 

I won't be contributing much at first,.....I'm here to learn from you guys. 
The cars I've built in the past I can help you with....but they ain't what you fellas are into,...this world is new to me so...I'll try to keep my mouth shut as much as possible. 
 I only hope you don't mind a bunch of new-boy questions from me when I start gathering shit together for my first Rat-Rod project in a few months 'cause I don't know squat about pre-50's frames or bodys.  Yet.
