It looks to me like they're turning NASCAR into another turd of a racing organization!!

I haven't been happy with any recent format!!

I use to go down for the last 8 or 9 yrs . we would get there to watch the sprint cars the weekend before . then we would watch some practice , the duels and the truck race . then we would head home , I would watch the 500 on tv between naps . not going this yr just do not have the interest . still would like to make teladaga  one time kind of a bucket list thing .

Not being allowed to repair body damage is STUPID!!  Penalizing good teams and preventing them from returning to garner valuable points is contrary to the basics of NASCAR!!

Minor body work is fine Look at all the "wrecked" cars that have won. The tore up to the f#$k cars out there to get 1 point is what I'm talking about. It isn't different than the dirt track guys coming out after changing a flat. Not all But alot have an attitude and if given the chance...

Years ago, a certain crew, operating for Junior Johnson, replaced a blown engine during a race losing only 17 laps. That team won the championship that year, although they weren't the ones who were favored or expected to win. The NASCAR rules were changed before the next season disallowing complete engine changes.

There had been rule changes before whenever someone worked there asses off to gain a fair advantage. Known as "memorial rules", these were admittedly initiated to prevent "unfair advantages" purportedly aimed at the better funded teams, although several privateers were more often the real targets.  But this time it was aimed at the previous year's Championship Team!!

The driver for that team went on to win another championship with another car owner, one who has repeatedly innovated himself into the establishment of even a few more "memorial rules".

NASCAR is becoming a namby-pamby, limp wristed, formula driven, caste system reserved for those who can pull down the most sponsorship money and most favor with the sanctioning body!!

I'm now evaluating whether I'll be following this "Entertainment" any longer!!!
