COMPUTERS
« on: January 14, 2015, 06:22:18 PM »
Man don't you just love em? Well here the past few weeks I have had some serious talks with "self". On one side self was saying sell her, you know that you need to, you can't afford to keep her. And then on the right side self, the conversation would go keep her, you two have been through so much together. Both of you enjoy and eat up the compliments, the thumbs up. And you know that this is just a temporary thing, this surgery. And who know's that with the new FDA approved meds that just came out to treat PD at the stage that you are at maybe you can get the doc to put off the DBS and give these a try ?
So keep her. And the best part is that she is therapy for you .Getting in behind that steering  wheel, turn on all of those pony's and try to keep your right foot in control. You know that in your garage is where she belongs.
And so the battle went on. And I had talked, pm'd, or made some type of contact with my friends. And they all are in agreement, and so is Gaij (my Son), that I just need to keep her and weather the storm.
Ok now that I am going to keep her, I still need a back-up. In come's HotRod HotLine. The on line magazine that I have been shooting for, fore about 12 years. I got in touch with my editor and told her what  was going on and my battle with PD. And I had asked her about a special deal in placing an ad to sell Blue. Well the next day, I think last Friday see send's me an email telling me to contact someone in that department and that she has already talked to them. And that she will take care of me. Ok contact made. Now to start o build an ad that is both informative and entertaining.

Well I get something that is rough and some pictures is a zip file. I come back to it on Sunday to try to polish it up and add some more pictures and more detail to the story. Well I get a little bit done and I am going to put it back into the the "drafts" folder. But guess what ?? My finger sends it in. I try to head it off at the pass by sending an email to Kevin, my contact in that department. That didn't work. So on Monday I get an email telling me that my ad is placed and posted. GREAT????? >:(  So for me know is that I need to go into that email and pull it up and try to make it more appealing.

At this point, if someone did a C.I.F. and with a 47 Chevy PD needing a new home. Weeeell my mind is in lets do it mode. And the price is non- negotiable.
If they come at me with a stupid offer, then my price just went up.

Don't mean to laugh, but that sounds like my luck. Hopefully if it doesn't sell this month, they'll get it updated for ya as soon as possible.

Got an email this morning that it had been updated. Ok here is the new story:

Description:
Well this is one of those Love story's that you either hear or read about. I rescued this beautiful creature from a farmers field in Sherman TX back in May of 2004. I had her towed home and immediately started her transformation. I first started with the fuel system. New gas tank up to and including the fuel pump. Then came the motor, a 283 that had seen many a TEXAS mile. Went with the Edelbrock intake and 600 carb, and MSD to get the spark to fire and run. Next came the block huger headers and Flowmaster 40's. But has with all the Flowmasters just were not load enough, So through the power of the internet I had a couple of Smitty's on the way. When I changed the oil I went with a WIX filter and Royal Purple oil in her to keep it all running smooth. Well as all builds this one got some good. New front end, A 85 Camero donated the 700R4, a 75 P/U gave up its 350 / now 300+ horse. Installed in July 2014. And I used Royal Purple Break-in oil. And I put Royal Purple in her after.( At this point it was time to get a couple of wrinkles out of her and put on some new make-up or paint. I stripped all side trim for that clean look. There is one interesting feature,. When having the front floor pans replaced under the factory carpet and padding on the passenger side is the build date stenciled. So with new front floor pans, and the rear were in excellent condition at that time. There was a problem with the drivers side quarter and I had it media blasted and then repainted. The corner of the rear bumper that shows as missing, is in the garage. To be honest to cold for these old bones to be laying around on the ground. She does have a few imperfections, but very sold and runs great. She is a great ride. She is always getting compliments, thumbs up and at almost every show/cruize that we attend some elderly lady or gentleman will remark "back in the High School or College or after High School her boyfriend had one like her. And there are the "Wish that I still had mine". When I had the seat's covered in 2006 the shop that did the work accidentally left the old seat covers on. So under the cover's is foam padding, then the old seat covers and under that is the factory padding. Needless to say very comfortable. And when I brought her home I was going through everything and I found the original owners manual. Which I still have. When I had the new motor installed this past summer I had the carburetor re-built. Moor-door or not she is a joy to drive. For $10,500. Located in Abilene Kansas
