Minimum wage increase
« on: December 04, 2013, 11:30:23 AM »
Learned that our illustrious President, who has never held an actual job in his life, wants to raise the minimum wage to $9.00 per hour.

Is he so stupid as to not realize that raising the minimum wage is simply a PAY CUT for those who have worked hard and educated themselves to earn a higher wage? Great, now those with no experience, education or training can make as much $ as someone who has been faithful on their job for years, and/or taking additional training to improve their value to an employer.

Let me ask you this, Mr. President: If raising the minimum wage is good, then why not just make it $30 or $40 per hour? Then no one would have to get a college education, or even finish high school.

Raising minimum wage simply results in immediate higher prices as businesses scramble to recoup revenue lost to paying entry-level employees a higher wage. Think about it when a Big Mac costs $19.99.

Just one more step towards getting the support he wants in eliminating term limits. All bow down. Better yet bend over. I could go on and get into a very deep discussion about his lack of business knowledge, his trying to re-write several items, plus lets not forget open border and gun control. And his hand picked "what difference does it make" hillbilt.

What,   no sense of humor?
Maybe people will learn to vote, and or, let their voices be heard.

To make things worse, it will cause less people to hire, so unemployement will increase........

Supporting President Obama's call to increase the minimum wage is what Costco's CEO state. But while the President wishes to increase it to $9 an hour, Costco would let it go even greater, to $10.10 an hour. Source for this article: shouldn't you discover much more on our site?

Why vote for someone who is only saying what they know we want to hear to get elected then they do the opposite once theyre in there. I am one of the ones who dont vote. I've lost all faith in the government. Everythings so messed up now there is no fixing it. Make minimum wage even higher than 9, doesnt matter.

Simple truth is we have been voting for them for years. People vote for what benefits them at the moment. Started with Harrison, and FDR took it to new heights. Kennedy, Johnson, Clinton, and now O bummer. Our history is not what we were taught in grade school. Not just Dems tho, although they're the worst of the lot. Anyone else smile a little when Christie started getting burned?
