Driving rat rods would be so much easier, if I was a midget.

Man, some of those rides look cool as hell but there is no way my 6ft 1in frame would fit inside some of those without making it look like a clown car when I get in or out.

Hmm, it's all in how you do the inside.  I'm 6'1" and fit fine in our lil chopped coupe, but I do only clear the old roof cross piece by maybe two inches.... Also, I am all legs, someone that carried their height in the torso might not be so lucky.  I have hauled a friend in the coupe who towers over me, he is at least 6'3" and 280lbs....  Here is a couple for size perspective

Yeah, if you're tall a coupe would be a better choice than a pickup.

And of course sedans are the roomiest of all
