My New Project
« on: February 06, 2012, 08:05:20 AM »
Picked up this 73 Nova over the weekend. Been looking for one for a good while now that I could actually afford & I lucked up on this baby on Craigslist only about 45 minutes from me. I love these old muscle cars. Just has one tiny little spot of rust on the lower section of right front fender. One of the most solid ones that I have found. Someone has made a good start on it now it's time for me to finish it.

Sure does look solid. What are your plans for it?

Yeah, it is almost all complete. I have the bumpers & grill & all of the lights & back seat & most of the trim & brand new carpet are all in the trunk.

Lol. I am definitely a wagon man, but I really do love the old muscle cars. These old novas & chevelles are definitely some of my favorites.

Got 1500 bucks in it right now, but as usual that is going up day by day as I keep adding my list up. Lol. Can not complain about that because it is absolutely 99.5% rust free & mostly 99% complete.

These cars look good as they are so probably going to stay close to original with it. I am going to add a cowl hood, but other than that just going to keep it close to stock. Going to put the motor in it that is my profile pic & have a 4-speed for it as well. Have a big block that I would LOVE to put in it but it needs to be built & can't quite afford to build it like I want to right now. Maybe in the future I hope.

New pics of the build, got the motor & The Muncie 4-speed tranny all prepped & together & put in the car over the weekend. Still have the old valve covers on though, so disregard them. I have a much nicer set that will go on once the motor is in & all buttoned up, did not want to take any chances on scratching them up during the install.
