Title: Dodge Bros Rat
Post by: BeaverMatt on May 31, 2015, 11:34:00 PM
Howdy - first post.  Hopefully I can get a pic to post.  My rat is a "18 dodge Bros Touring Car.  360 Mopar , 4 speed trans, 9" rear.  Spent the last couple months building and installing a new intake manifold & carb combo.

Here's a couple videos as well.

Nice! I'm doing a Dodge 360 in mine as well and I'd love to see a closer look at your alternator brackets...

The alt mount is, like most of the car, unique.  First, its a GM alt.  Second, it mounts to the frame/cross member and adjusts to the block.  It's impossible to get a good pic of the bottom mount.  It is a piece of a lower alt mount from a SB chevy header alternator mount. It is welded to a short piece of tube that extends forward from a piece of the frame.  Top mount is attached to one of the water pump botts and the top of the alt.  I've attached a couple of pics.  Again, the bottom is quite difficult to see as there isn't enough room to get a good pic.

Thanks, that gives me some ideas. Mine is on the passenger side at the moment, but I'm wanting to move it to the driver's side so that I can run a mechanical fuel pump. Oh, and I want to keep the MOPAR alternator. This is the best pic I have that shows what I'm working with; it's all apart now:
