Just here to say "hey" and to start a conversation about my next project. After hibernating for a long time in my mom's garage, my 46 Ford Pick-up is coming to my house to begin the tear- down.

First heavy mod will be a 3 or 4" roof chop. Being my 1st ever chop, anyone have any pointers for me?

lowboy:
Welcome to the nation Look around Ask questions and if this bunch don't know I'll make something up  :P There is a huge knowledge pool around here  8) As for the chop Measure re measure and then brace it up There have been several chops done around here I did my VW but it was done all wrong  :o Look at Greybeards posts as he did one not to long ago

28rat:
Hey brother from Toms River good to see someone from NJ. Good luck with the chop my advice is brace it up and don't overthink it. Just cut it!! You can always put it back together!!

hotwheels:
Bracing.........that is gonna be your most important step. And welcome to the nation.
