Just getting started
« on: October 17, 2016, 07:51:24 PM »
Hey Nation,

Just getting the Rat Rod itch. I am 46 going on 47 and have wanted to get the ball rolling on a rod project. I am currently looking at picking up a '52
F-1 with a flathead and 3 speed on the tree. I am planning on a chop and channel job, no front sheet metal and just bed sides. I would like to use the flathead but would like an updated trans (top loader or auto with OD) not sure what trans swaps work for the flatty. Also looking for advise on frames. Have seen folks using s10 frames, ranger frames....any recommendations here? Air ride is a must. I look forward to chatting with everyone and hope to start this thing off soon.

Love building rat rods, driving mustangs, and building websites.
