project needed
« on: April 15, 2014, 10:20:42 PM »
Looking for a father son project. I'm having trouble with my 12 year old son and need to get him in the shop doing something productive. He shares my love for cars and I made a deal if he can change his grades and attitude we can get a project. Well at least the grades are coming up!  ::)
I want to do a $3000 budget build this time. Looking for a 40's truck or a early 30's sedan body. Preferably in Illinois.  Any leads, direction or help is much appreciated.  Thanks Garrick

Thanks! I've checked Craigslist.  Found a couple but out of my price range for this project. I did find someone with a 35 Plymouth body I'm going to look at. They want 6000 for it but said he would sell just the body if it was for a father son project. So we will see.
I'll check out racing junk. Thanks.

I have a friend that's selling a 1923 Chevy 2 door coupe that is pretty much complete including all of the original glass, wood and the original paint. Not completely sure what he's asking, but it's at least 2k and it's in Texas. A very unusual find to be sure... I can get pics if you're interested.
