my willys
« on: February 03, 2013, 05:54:13 PM »
This was the first thing I bought when I graduated in 95,I had known this car since I was a kid and after years of tryn I finally got it! But lack of age, knowledge and money I traded it for a 39 dodge coupe that I also got rid of . The pics when it was white was when I owned it and the green 1 is the guy that got it from me , he only owned a short time and sold it to a guy in Ohio. I would give just about anything to have it back! All I have left are a few pics to haunt me!!

All I can say is "dammmnnnnn". How is your foot to butt reaction time?
That is one style of hot rod I have always wanted, but more $$$ than I have. My Brother has a 41 that he is trying to sell. But I am trying to talk some smarts into him.

Here's the 39 it was actually a 4 door that they converted to a 2 door delivery but the main selling point for me was I drove it home this is the only pic I have of it my wife took it when I pulled in with it

That sucker looks a lil familiar... Same body style as my 35 Chrysler... I guess all the sedans looked very similar in the mid to late 30's

Yeah it was a decent car and your right its not that much different from my 37 plymouth , I've had a lot of cars since that Willy's and not one of them give me the same rush as it, the Willy's had a 472 Cadillac in it and tho it was rough my dad and I put a 5gal jug behind the drivers seat and took it for a hell ride! If you try to power brake the doors would pop open! It was a beast!
