carb problem

mostly this is a question I bought a used  carb that and the motor is idling fast , then I saw there are 1 hole in each butter fly witch may guess is the problem . can this be fixed or do I need an other carb

A lot of carbs had them as idle holes. Some were spring loaded valves. If somebody has mucked with them it maybe a problem. Maybe put a screw and a nut with locktite. Kind of a redneck fix, sure . I'd say get a new carb. What kind is it? Are parts readily avalible, like a holley.

2 barrel holly and when you start it it idles fast and cant slow it down  Thanks
