Well here are a couple of the new shop tools i bought today, 1. 40" brake/shear/slip roll 2. Bead Roller
-
New tools (toys) to play with ! That is always fun .
-
Heck yea, i already made a small piece of rolled metal for the 35 ford and it was awesome........
-
I spent half a day just playing with my slip roll , just making stuff to see what all it will do . The coolest thing was a beveled trans tunnel . The next thing you need is a shrinker and stretcher for sheet metal .
-
I saw a couple of those at one of the stores i was at today and they are definitely on my list of tools. As well as a plasma cutter, a 7 ton 2 post lift, etc............
-
Those would all be quality purchases , I have six lifts in my shop but when I am building a car most of the time I use a set of jack stands that are 3 ft. tall . That way I can level evrything with shims to get the frame perfectly level and a creeper is no problem . If I have a lot of overhead work I will roll it over to a lift for sure .
-
Jack stands are a great idea, i have the standard stands for work, but i will look into taller stands. heck yea
-
Sweeet!!!! Congrats on the new tools!!!

thank you, thank you.......

How does the sheer part work. Back when I was in high school shop we had a big sheering thing that you press a foot pedal and the blade came down and chopped the metal off. Is that how yours works?
-
It is basically two sharp edges and it cuts left to right.......You can't do heavy metal like the ones in shop class.
