And don't limit yourself to a '34 Ford bed. Here's pic of one of my favorite trucks of all time, a Model A Ford pickup with a Chevy box. Looks cooler than the shady side of an iceberg! Old Ford boxes are expensive; old Chevy, not so much. Heck, you can even cut out the Chevy logo and weld a Ford script in its place; that'll keep 'em scratching their heads.

I built the one on my 47 and the one on the 36. You can find kits too that you can build to your specs.

Nice! Why don't you bless us with examples of your handiwork more often?

I usually try to share my work with everyone. I think when i built the boxes, i may not have had the site up and running at the time and posted most of the pics on our facebook page. I will try to share more if i haven't done so though....

This is one I built for the '36 dodge truck . The sides are 16g and the rear is 20g and the tailgate and side rail rolls are made from emt conduit

Lookin good man. See, it's not that bad to build your own. I used the same size metal on both of my boxes here.

If you are talking about the curl on the bed rail , I used emt conduit from the Home Depot and welded it to the bed sides and smoothed it to look like one continuous bend

looong story on that one haha..... My girl at that time, her father didn't like me to much, well at all. But he was a car guy and he didn't like how "messed" up I made mine...He is die hard full original restoration type of person, which I love just like every other car enthusiast. But he hated what I had (of course), which was probably only because I was dating his daughter but anyways he co owns a walmart and one day he calls me up and asks me if I wanted to come to a car show they had going on in the parking lot. I though great finally he might talk to me and sound like he doesn't want to kill me, so I went on over, needless to say first place got his car "shown off" in walmart (I was never told this). Well he is the one who "rigged" it so I would win and made me leave it in Walmart for 2 MONTHS! Not worth it.
