Need help Iding this differential
« on: January 05, 2013, 02:25:50 PM »
Not sure if this is the standard 8.5 10 bolt or not. I pulled this from a 84 C10 6.2L Diesel, the yoke is what is throwing me off. Any idea if this is any good? Im going to pull the cover and see if its a LS or locker or Peg Leg.

Ugh , throw that thing someone else's way. Go to pull a part and get you an 8.8 from under a explorer with disc brakes. Just look at the tag and it will have wrote on it what it is.

Last one I bought was only 89.00 with tax :)

Found out the driveshaft is out of the caddy. They just changed the CV yoke from the car to run this double cardan driveshaft in the truck.

This will be fine for now, I can get a posi unit for it later on. I spent the morning stripping the 84 C10, only got the steering column left to remove. Still dont know if I want to pull the gear box or not. I might could use it on my 64.
