New from little Rhode Island
« on: November 30, 2020, 03:23:53 PM »
Hi all. Been a rat rod fan for many many years. Just introducing myself. I am actually doing my first ratrod after doing countless musclecars over the years so I will be trolling around for some great info and tips. By the way, I'm a Mopar guy.

This is my Mopar project. 1977 Dodge Ramcharger frame and drivetrain. I stripped off the rotted out body and will be mounting a 1917 Dodge 4 door open tourer. The Ramcharger was my sisters husband who passed away earlier this year. It was sitting just rotting away. To help my sister out with funeral costs I bought it from her and towed it home. My nephew said he used it last when he was in high school (he's almost 40 now). Frame is good and I got the engine to move with a breaker bar. The 1917 Dodge body I got for an old riding mower I put together. Great deal for me LOL.

Very kool ideas. I've got a pair of Dodges in the "project" list. A 4x4 with a late 30's cab but no fenders I'm going to do a Power wagon type front end. Other is a 2 door business coupe.

Start a build thread so's we can watch the progress and feel free to ask any questions or to seek advice or help finding stuff!!  The folks here are great with that stuff!!
