With a paint-on-rust finish, skinny bias-plies, a '31 visor and six deuces, it just doesn't get any better than "The Speak Easy Special" '29 coupe. Gee, ya think it's bagged?

Sorry guys, it's not paint-on-rust finish, it's the real bare metal what was under the rattle canned stuff and old ancient bondo finish.  It's also a 29 Visor with the original glue from back in the day....We tried a 31 visor on it, didn't like it, hung it on the shop wall as wall art....

Yes, 100% bagged four link in the rear...

Yeah, I been busy working on her... Changed to Buick finned brakes up front, 28 lenses in the lights, changed the F-100 steering col (well cut and stubbed a GM shaft on), so I could run a wicked cool Oldsmobile steering wheel.

Thanks guys, she is a TON of fun....

Cheers

Ha ha, I've seen you on KB but I didn't know you were here. Speak up more often!

Sorry, by "paint on rust" I was referring to the scallops which appear to be "painted onto" the original rusty finish. Should've said "paint over rust."

And yeah, now that I see your other pic of the visor I can tell that what I mistook as the molded line of a 31 visor is actually a pinstripe on the edge.

Definitely one of the cooler coupes out there! That cross-ram intake is a rare one!

PS: How'd you get the old bondo off? I've got a ton to remove from my '29.

Ah, then yes, paint is right over the rust.

And the bondo, I didn't remove it, it's still there in all it's glory.... seems to be some pretty tough stuff

Granted it's now under the logo etc.
In this pre paint, graphics and stripping photo, you can see it...
