Hello All,

I am looking for a good 110v welder, looking for suggestions.

I just sold a Lincoln 125-amp 110-volt mig welder. Quality unit. I built two cars with it.
But I do like my Harbor Freight 185-amp 220-volt welder better.

If your wired for it I'd buy a 220 volt welder Mines a Hobart Handler 190 with gas capability I use argon but there are cheaper gasses Gives you more flexability I could weld stainless and aluminium if i got the other spool gun

I use a hobart 110v in my shop, wish i could afford a 220v cause you would get better penetration on heavier metals, but my hobart has been a kick ass machine. I have a friend with a lincoln 110v and my hobart welds circles around his lincoln.

Thanks everyone for the input.  Will probrably start with a 110, since I have no 220 setup currently.

its not that hard to wire a 220 volt welder,i've got a 220 volt  thermal arc fabricator 181i 3 in 1,you can mig,tig or stick .it will hold a 8lb spool of wire,comes w/tig rig ,a stinger,ground ,mig whip . Weighs around 35lbs .Welds great .Check it out on Amazon
