Life's Journey
« on: July 17, 2015, 08:15:03 AM »
Well to say the least my journey has not been story book nor dime store novel. I'll just leave it at that.

The next few week's I wont be around that much. This past week I have been busy with doctors in KC. And I took Ol Blue on the long distance run. She did great, except she was extremely thirsty when we got home. The only place that I can see where her vital fluids went was the puke tank. ?? Have to go pick up a gallon this morning.

Starting Monday it is back to KC for doctors their on Monday and Tuesday. Back home on Wednesday then Thursday a doctor and hospital for pre-surgery check up. Then back to KC on Friday for an MRI with injections. Hope too get home in time for the KKOA Friday night party at Calvin's Kustoms.

Saturday is a full on photo shoot of the 36th KKOA. Pictures when I can.

Then the following week I will be headed back to KC for one last go around with doctors. The 30th will be the big day of Surgery. 6 to 8 hours for one side. Then back on the 2nd of September for the other side and September 9th for the battery pack. After all of that there are about 8 more trips to fine tune every thing.

hotwheels give me a call sometime.

Peace and stay kool

Update. Seen the Physic doctor, passed with flying colors. Seen my PCP on Monday and everything looks to be a go. Sat down with the surgeon yesterday and he says we are ready. Thursday I go to the hospital that is close for my pre-surgery physical. Then Friday back to KC for an MRI. And for that one they are going to put me out, and inject some glow in the dark stuff. Then the 29th back to KC for a platelet count. Then the next morning I have to be at the hospital at 5am. But I am going to stay over night. And while the surgery is taking place I will be awake. I'm not to sure that I will like the sound of the drill drilling a whole in my skull. Well 1 electrode down and 1 to go. And that one will be on Sept 2nd. And the pace maker / battery pack on Sept 9th.
The one thing that I have going for me is that all of the doctors say that they like my attitude towards all of this. And the physic tests that I took that doc said that I had scored higher than anyone.

But the one draw back...............I am not allowed to drive.........I think that with some luck I will be back behind the wheel come Thanksgiving........S%^(

Well round 1 is over. And I feel like crap. The whole process was not that bad. till he started to drill that whole , the vibration did me in. I wanted to tell him to spray some WD-40 on that bit.  Well I go back Monday to have the battery pack installed. Then in about a month I go in for the other side to be worked on.
And 6 to 8 weeks before I can drive again. That sucks

Well Monday's will be a Monday. Finally had enough of being tied to the inside of my house. Now don't get me wrong. I love my home. But dang i got to be free. And I think that I mentioned that I am not allowed to drive for at least 8 week's. Well guess what I got in the ol Girl, turned the key, fired her up and took a ride to the end of town. About 2 miles one way. Felt good, but I wont push it. And I am understanding more on my limitations.

Well I thought that things were looking up. They did a nose dive. My right side is giving me problems. My right eye has a nasty pain behind it. So they are talking about me going back into the hospital today. They want to run a cat scan and see what is the reason for this. Tomorrow morning I am supposed to go in for the battery pack to be installed.

It always feels so good to get behind the wheel and lay down twin 20ft patches. And a tad bit of smoke
