Mostly stock should be fine. If you want to do a little to it some head work and a cam is your best bet.

I was gonna build it but i believe a mostly stock small block will be plenty its not gonna have that much weight to it!  What you guys think?

I am constantly surprised how quick my little 307 stocker is when it's motivating a mere 2000 lbs around. And just wait 'till I get the other two carbs rebuilt!!!

And don't let the Chevy haters bug ya - inexpensive is what rat rodding is all about!  Flatheads are dogs, hemis are heavy, if you wanna go fast, get a small block Chevy!
