1948-1952 Mercury Pickup
« on: March 10, 2012, 02:32:51 PM »
Well heading out tomorrow to look at an abundance of these trucks.  there is a guy that has a dozen or more mercs and fords sitting in his field in all various conditions.

really looking forward to this as the time is now right for me to build one.

Are there any concerns or problem areas with these 48-52 Mercs i should be looking for?
Is there any parts that are hard to find for these that i should try and locate from a donor truck here?
any good sites for the era of truck?

:o PLEASE TAKE LOTS OF PICS OF WHAT'S THERE !!!!!!! I had a 55 Merc pickup and found that the only bits that were hard to get ( as they are mostly the same as Fords of the same year ) was the letters for the hood and a decent pair of 2 bolt valve covers .
What is this """ stock restoration """ thing you speak of ????
