I picked up a 1963 F100 shortbed, 223, 4spd, and I'm attempting my first RR build. Everything is solid on it except for the wood bed (old Texas oil field truck). I also picked up a running 84 F250, 460, 4spd. I'm going to do the motor swap soon and have ordered mounts that should work for my frame. Does anyone know if there's anything else I should be concerned about? I think the stock trans crossmember is in a good location. It looks like a good fit.
Should I use the Dana 60 out of the F250 even though it's a different bolt pattern than the front?

You might see if you can adapt those front brakes from the '84 onto the '63 front axle! It would give you MUCH better brakes and you'd have the same pattern on all four corners!!
More brakes is ALWAYS better!!! 8)

Man, I wish I could, I forgot to mention that the doner is a 4x4.
