Glad you got the fuel prob worked out. Older fords would fill up the oil pan when the fuel pump fails.

Update,, Ended up replacing all the rubber hoses in the brake system. Could not get good fluid to the brakes. New hoses and gravity pushed the fluid through. Now i have good power disc brakes working on the truck. Installed a new ignition switch, new headlight switch, new blower motor. Started driving it to work some (100 mile round trips). It was doing great while the southern heat was not that bad.

New rear brakes and hardware

Got some exhaust installed , flowmasters with side exits.. Sounds pretty good..

New tires, 235/70s up front  and 275/60s out back.

Had some ignition issues and found my plug wire boots to be touching the headers so I installed some new 90 deg boots. Then found my distributor cap to be bad.
Found a completed HEI distributor with brass terminal cap, 65K coil complete for $44 shipped. Installed that and drove it some more.

Mounted my  Police Siren from an old cop car..

Sounds great.. LOL

The Blower fan only ran for about 10 seconds and it quit. Looked into it and found a burnt wire behind the fuse box. Got that repaired and its working good now.

My headlights stopped working and I found a back connector on the right headlight. This is the junction for both lights so neither worked. I had a new set of
high temperature connectors in the glove box. Installed those and lights are back working.

Drove it to work a couple days ago and found that this new small radiator is not efficient enough for this Memphis Humid Heat. Had to drive about 60 mph to keep my temps below 200..

Found a new aluminum big core radiator that I will be ordering this week. Still feels great to be driving this after all these years. The truck runs great on the interstate otherwise. About 26-2700 rpms at 70mph with the 3.08 gears.

Future plans include installing a Straight Axle and going Gasser. I have the 402 BB almost completed. I also recently picked up this Ford Toploader 4 spd with shifter. May get my muncie bell housing modified to fit it and use it with the BigBlock. Nothing like a Big Block 4 spd Gasser.

That's a cool old truck. Nice wheels and tires - just like mine! Glad you got the brakes bled and working.

Got my new Radiator installed this week. Looks like it may stay right around 180 on these upper 90 deg days.

Also got my big block almost ready to paint. Rocker arms, Balancer, and flexplate is all I need to finish it up. Going to lay some heavy metal flake gold on it to match my roof.

Got my rockers today, now just got to grab a water pump and I can paint it. Problem is I dont have any brackets or pulleys and not sure what way I want to go. Im thinking of going serpentine like what I have on my small block. But I love the look of the V belt setups. Serpentine is just so much easier to deal with.
