I wonder if the driver of this hemi-powered sling-seat dragster was still alive at the end of this day   :-\    It must have been a wild ride!   :o Circa 1951.

Not anymore, they were lost at about the 700 foot mark, right before his toes got stubbed when he couldn't get it stopped in time.

Don't know about toes. But my bet is that he lost his ass with it hanging that low. Now we all know where Big Daddy Don got his idea for the rear engine dragster.
