the stock ranger shifter is 2 piece held together with rubber......came apart on me this morning so I did a temporary fix with some metal conduit that was the perfect size to fit over the shaft of the bottom part.... my brother in law is gonna make me a better one at his work.... plus it is gonna be longer.... so the conduit is a mock up on length you could say

back after a long absence.....finally sold the k5, after paying of some bills and such I was able to do some work on the ranger..... replaced the worn out shocks, radius arm bushings, turn signal switch, tires, alignment, a cheap radio, serpentine belt, and got the parts to do the clutch...... ended up puting 195/70/14s on it in place of the 27/8.50/14 truck tires that were on there..... drives so much better...... got the tires at a place I used to work, not only did I get a discount, I also scored some center caps from a newer ranger.....

got more parts today.;.... fuel sending unit and pump, fluid for the tranny when I do the clutch, new o2 sensor and a T55 torx bit for the bed bolts.....much easier to pull the bed than it is to drop the tank.....just waiting on a few dry days....also getting ready to have a garage sale for funds toward a new windshield.... also want to pick up a few cases of flat black spray paint

got the fuel pump and sender replaced.... ended up having to grind the heads of 2 bolts off to get the bed off.....replaced them with regular hex head bolts..... now I have a working fuel gauge (woohoo) was the original fuel pump I took out of there.... seems to ping alot less now, as far as the o2 sensor, nowhere on my truck does it say its california emissions......got the non california o2 sensor and it had 3 wires instead of 4 like the old one did.....turns out the california one is what I needed....the one I took out was original as well... got that issue solved and started on the clutch today.... got as far as unhooking the battery, jacking up the truck, removing the starter and getting the bellhousing bolts out... had to get 2 from the top and the rest from the bottom, 2 upper bolts on drivers side were a little hard to get out due to lack of room plus whoever was in there last went crazy tight with all but the 2 bottom bolts and 1 was finger tight..... then I started to get real dizzy, so I had to call it a day... hopefully I can get back on it tomorrow long enough to at least get the transmission on the ground

Many Oregonians suffer from dizziness. It is an effect of the cool, damp weather on your inner ear and congestion in your sinus cavities.
I had it for years when I lived in the Willamette Valley, sometimes so bad I couldn't sit upright.
Then I moved south to a warmer, drier climate and it disappeared.

THE RAT ROD RANGER IS DEAD!!!! on new years day I was coming home from my parents place and hit a deer at 70 mph... the rusted core support was ripped from the frame, put the radiator into the fan... after I hit the deer I slid sideways, took out some mail boxes and landed on the roof in a deep ditch..... I was ok , but the ranger was toast.... didnt get any pics of it before it went to scrap a few days later.....I was gifted my fathers 94 dodge caravan( he passed away oct 2015).... plan on building another rat when finances allow.....
