Yesterday i woke up about an hour after getting off of the graveyard shift and my yellow lab was bleeding out of her left nostril. It was so bad that i took her to the vet and they worked all day and into the night trying to get the bleeding to stop. Told me that she has a brain tumor and if they can stop the bleeding, she may have 30 to 60 days left to live. About 8pm last night they thought they had the bleeding under control. Got off graveyard shift this morning went to bed and exactly 1hr later, they called and the bleeding was back. Told me they didn't know at this point if they could stop the bleeding from her brain, so i made the decision to stop her suffering and have her put to sleep. Spent 10 minutes with her this morning and you could just see she was so tired from trying to clean up her blood that she just couldn't do it anymore. The vet came in and gave her an injection and within seconds, she laid down her head and went to sleep. I am going to miss her, she was a great dog. My jasmine was 10 years old and fat, hehehehe. She had a great life and i will miss her so much. Just woke up and the house seems so empty with out her and my other dogs know she isn't coming home anymore. Sniff Sniff.
