Who, who are you ?
« on: March 23, 2016, 08:38:47 PM »
Catchy little tune. But who are you and who have you had the honor or pleasure of meeting ?

I guess that I have one distinct advantage, or so you might think. But for the most part they are just like you and me. Just travel under a luckier star than most.

So I will get this rolling.

I got to meet the creater of this site, once. On a cold and desert highway. ..................... Opps I mean a cold and desolate highway..................Dang what I meant was a cold night with the sound of people going anywhere and nowhere. Do not ever break down on the highway from Denver in Wyoming. All I can say thanks for being a friend.

They were all probably too embarrassed to ask for your autograph.

You want to see autographs ?

Will these work for you ?      8)

I have found that it is easy to approach these individuals and have a conversation and talk about the past, present, and future. They are more approachable than most people think.

I have not seen a sticker for roush's. I met him too, jack roush. His kid tried to stop me from getting his autograph, but jack told him he'll not sign when he's ready.

Seen the sticker shock. Around 40 G's for the pony. To put Jack's hand on it, close to $62000 and change.

Oh, the actual window sticker lol  ;D

Yea, I've seen the prices and I don't know how people can afford them. I would love to own a super snake but they are 100,000 plus.

I've never met a single one of my automotive hero's (if that is the correct term). My family met Richard Petty and Mario Andretti on two different trips. I couldn't go on either, had to work.
The only people that I've met are a few NHL players, 2 MLB players, Chuck Berry, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. For the record the govenator is a surprisingly little guy!

See the new SUPER SNAKE ? 700 + ponies and a price tag of over 100K

And the new GT. Only 50 will be built. Park one of them in your garage for 200K +

The most impressive people I have ever met have been nobodies, I worked with a gentleman at the Indiana State Fair who was a self made engineer, he had worked on the Apollo rocket while at Allison in Indianapolis, built his own miniature working steam engine and could answer just about any math question you could throw at him.  He currently rebuilds injectors for steam traction engines all at the ripe old age of 94.  Another interesting man is my brother in law.  He has been a pilot of a F15 strike eagle for 23 years, the man is a walking encyclopedia, has 3 masters degrees and is a devoted family man.  Neither man famous, both have been key figures in our history.  If you ask we which I would rather sit down and have a conversation with:  Obama or one of these two men, I'd have the go with the latter, famous people don't do much for me.
