86 s10 rat truck cab swap
« on: September 02, 2015, 03:58:37 PM »
My question is i have a 86 s10 donor, is easier to slide an old Chevy cab over the existing cab or should i remove the 86 cab all together? Was trying to to keep the firewall intact.

Remove the cab You'll have a lotta room to do your cutting and figuring as the old and new firewall ain't even close to being the same. And the cab may need  to move forward or back to get the "look".
life is a ride where you slide into heaven sideways on 4 flats blown motor saying Thank you God what a ride!!!!!

I too would remove the s10 cab. If you need sheet metal from the s10 cab, cut it off after you figure out where your new cab will be sitting.
