Topic: question about frame width of early 30's to 1935 frame (stock to stock)

Cant decide wether to modify the early frame or use the modified 35 frame and change out the control arm setup thats already mounted for a dropped ibeam


im against the control arm setup because i want the ibeam look. but i think the 35 frame will be a better starting point as long as its not to big for the early body i have.

does anyone know if i could use the 35 frame without any width modifications to the body or frame

What frame ? Ford to Ford ? Ford to Chevy? Which one you got? How much power you plan on using as the old Fords are flimsy. Body mounts probably won't be the same.

I've used some narrow frames, you'll have to build some extended body mount brackets.
