Title: First rat. 1984 F-350 dually.
Post by: 84Mistress on July 24, 2017, 09:16:21 AM
So, this is my first dive into rat rods. My plan is to start with this f350, keeping basically just the chassis.
I plan to put a 50s Chevy cab on it and then fab the rest. While this is my first rat, it's not my first dive into fab/metal work. I build motorcycles and have been for years. So I have welders, torches, etc.
The power plant I plan to use will be a 350, strokes to 383 with a blower and spray.
My goal for he truck is to make it as Mad Max as possible.
My first obstacle is going to be the air ride set up. I don't see anywhere that sells a kit. I'm gong to 4 link the rear so that's no prob but a bolt on kit for the front sure would have been nice. Anyone done this set up, and it so what did you do for the front end bag set up?

You have my vote.  As a mostly GM guy, that Ford body style is one of my favorite's out of all brands. I'd love to see one done up as a ratrod.
