Good Morning from Virginia!!
« on: September 10, 2017, 08:06:23 AM »
Just a quick intro....
I just joined the group last night with hopes of some great ideas and great advice.
My truck came home yesterday after a 15+ hour haul on a carrier.
I cant wait to get started and I might be at times in over my head!! Counting/Hoping for you guys to help me out :)
So please be kind.
This is a life long dream of mine and I cant wait!!

Yes it does run, has the original 220 in it.
I agree I think it has great potential!!
Love that its a dually and I already decided im not putting a bed on it. Maybe some shields over the wheels but no bed.

It's your truck!  Do it YOUR way!!  The outrigger fenders would be cool with an old fifth wheel hitch and a tow bumper with a pintle hook!!  I'm a Dually nut myself!  My daily driver is a '97 stretch cab big block 3500. My next, long time, ongoing for the last ten years project is the Jeep FC Dually in my avatar.

nice, i had a 53 R100 a few years back, ended up mini tubbed and 500 cad powered.
sold it to buy an engagement ring... (yeah, yeah. i know. i KNOW....)

theres a 54 R110 up at hermans auto that fairly complete if you need any parts, i go there
1-3 times a month. shipping out of hawaii might be expensive, but hey--at least you KNOW
its there if you need parts, right? sometimes things are impossible to find....

I would keep the dully look. I have a 49 ford truck I’ll be building into a dusky. A friend just picked up a late 70,s dialysis’s axle for me...

I like the looks of it as a dually. I would probably drop it some two. Should be a good first build.
