Ran across this story reading the news today and felt i would share, cause this is the luck i would have:
A southern Ohio man who had hoped to use a $5 million lottery prize he won in June to pay for treatment for kidney failure has died.
The Logan Daily News reports that 54-year-old Phillip Withem of Logan died Tuesday at his home. His cause of death wasn't immediately available.
The newspaper reports that Withem hoped to use that money to help with health issues, including kidney failure.
Withem was entered into the state's Top Prize Drawing after he won $2,500 off a $20 instant ticket he purchased at a Speedway gas station in Logan in 2006. Winning Ohio instant lottery tickets on games that sell for $5 or more are entered into a drawing after the game ends.
Withem then won $5 million in the Top Prize Drawing.
