Title: radiator ?
Post by: just old on January 24, 2017, 09:53:53 AM
I have moved to radiator forward about 3 or 4 inches from were it was , so now it is about 10 inches from the motor should I add a fan shroud in that area . I have and elec fan in front of the radiator

I'd try it like it is and see if the electric fan will do. If not the fan will need a shroud. It's too far away to create a vacuum on the radiator in my opinion

I agree. Run it and see what happens. Or go ahead and add a shroud now.

Any update? Did you add a fan shroud?

This is an old post, but remember with a fan on the front needs to be reversible in the blades. Most fans are pullers and need to be set up as pushers to move air into the radiator.

did not need the shroud mounted the fan on the inside between motor and radiator worked fine , seem to be cooling fine
