new project
« on: February 25, 2014, 04:10:02 AM »
So I got a basket case of a 1971 vw411.one of the less popular models. Was only made for 4 years so i'm thinking parts are hard to come by. Everything thats vinyl or plastic just crumbles apart. Brake lines rusted through, motor locked up. Think I can salvage the body, cut the nose off, tractor grill ,build frame ,V-8 etc. Well after the jeeprod is done of course.

Thinking s10 frame and drivetrain with small block. Unless someone wants to donate for that bigblock tube frame idea.

Got most of the interior out. It all basically disintegrates when it's touched. Got a ton of rust and rot.

The motor was locked up and wasn't sure of the auto trans. Gave it all to a friend. Car is a unibody.
