Opinion on tach
« on: December 23, 2017, 05:34:36 PM »
I had a 5" monster tach left over from a v8 ranger I was building at one point.....what do you guys think of mounting it on the cowl? I realize ultimately it's my build but want some opinions not sure what I think.....it is a little bit of a distraction where it's at.

Vision is limited at best on most ratrods. I'm not a fan of that location. Wish I could see a few other options.

What would it look like in the upper left corner of windshield.  Might have to add a mounting spot. Transmission spot might not be bad either.

Yea it is kind of a nuisance where it's at....will probably end up on the trans tunnel.....originally I was going to get a smaller moon sweep tach and make a gauge pod for the cowl to mock the late 60s firebird but I had this one laying aeound......i think I will try and keep all the visibility I can
