Bags on my 53

Hey guys I am making my 53 chevy 150 into a taildragger but don't know where to start with the bags. Do I have to much axle movement or are the bags in the wrong spot any help would be great

It looks like you have excessive axle movement forward  when lowered , are your 4-link bars parallel to each other (on the same plane) ? If not that will cause it to move forward .

Everything is fine until just about down then the axle moves forward. The lower bars are parelel to each other and even at ride height. I am not sure about the top(angled bars). Should I maybe make them shorter and put in at a different angle

If your bags are not stretched at ride height I wouldn't worry with it  . Your upper bars should be on the same plane as the lower bars to get an even motion through the arc of the suspension travel .

Thanks for helping greybeard I am going to work on the upper bars when I get home and make sure they are parellel  with the lower bars

The top bars are not paellell with the bottom so I need to work on it tomorrow & see what happens

i found out the upper bars were not level and one was a bit shorter than the other. not sure what i was doing that day.

Been working on this all day changed the upper bar mounts on the frame. Lowered it everything  worked until something caught somewhere & dropped breaking all the tack welds but I now kniw it works just have to find out where it caught

The yolk on the drive shaft got stuck in the tranny thats what caused the problems got the 4-link all back on works great hardly any movement with the axle. Thanks for the help
