Hot Rod Power Tour
« on: May 31, 2011, 10:46:27 AM »
The power tour will be coming through my neck of the woods next week . I plan on jumping in line in Birmingham and going to Nashville spending the night and maybe on to Indy ? Don't know for sure about the last part , that's a long ride in the model A ! We did one segment last year and it was awesome ... can't wait !

I bet that is great. Yeah we used to build model A's and nashville to indy would be rough in that little cab. Have you ever met the man and woman that travel all over tn\he country in model A's. If you ever see them it is a hoot talking to them. these are true rats too they are held together with bailing wire and duct tape. They are in their 70's and have been traveling for over ten years in these two A models.

It was a short trip for me this year , I had blower failure about 75 miles in . The input shaft failed and walked out allowing all the lube to come out of the blower drive snout . I was fortunate enough to find a guy that owned a hot rod shop where we were and he let me leave my car at his house for a couple days untill I can get back with a trailer to pick it up . Oh well that's the first time she's let me down in over two years . I will post some pictures when I get it home .

Great news guys , I took it all apart this afternoon and it was only a snap ring loose that let the input shaft un-spline . All I need is a new snap ring and seal and all should be well !!
