Wintery weather
« on: December 08, 2013, 01:19:22 AM »
My wife is a certified weather spotter for the National Weather Service. She also has a Weather Underground Personal Weather Station online. As I write this, central and eastern Oregon are around -25 degrees. To put this in perspective, Iceland is approximately 50 degrees warmer than here. Greenland is 30-40 degrees warmer. The northern tip of Alaska is 55 degrees warmer. Mongolia 50 degrees warmer. Depending on where you are in the Yukon, it's as much as 60 degrees warmer than Oregon.  We've had 8 inches of snow over the last 24 hours. It's still two weeks until winter.

If anyone says anything to me about f---ing Global Warming I am going to punch them in their teeth.   >:(

Judging by your last ,line I would guess that your teeth are chattering a bit.  Please don't say it was about having personal relations with Al Gore.
Are you indicating that your garden lawn sprinkle is not working,
or are you asking for assistance in installing chains on your C-Dan,,,,,,, they go on the back.
Always willing to be of assistance.

Those pile ups suck.....we get those here about once or twice a year on the summit. Scary stuff...

Out west they are smart enough to shut the gates on the interstates.  East coast not so much.

That is the wildest pileup ever. I'm glad I don't drive truck anymore.

Man. You would think that back east the risk of getting the product to the dock is not worth all the risk. Going to be a busy month for insurance company's, tow trucks, car and truck lots, doctors and hospitals.
