how to rust panels

what is the best way to rust the new panels or blend them in . I would rather not glass in any thing . I was thinking about painting the buttom with ? . just below the windows , what to use
also a pic of the steering box I used

That's not dust in your eyes ...... it's RUST !!!

Watered down muratic acid will do it a little faster than vinegar, but it is sort of nasty to deal with.

the vinegar really does make it rust up quick but how do you keep it on there . when I wipe with a rag it pretty much wipe off . how do you keep it there . i would like to clear coat over it at some time

I used it in a spray bottle, but make sure it is a throw away bottle if you choose to use acid.

Keep misting it, if it is wet it will be rusting.

The steering box is out of a sprint car I had for a couple years , that I still had after I quit racing . Best place to get one is at a race car flea market at the end of the year . That is when they are the cheapest . Any dirt track modified or sprint car or paved track cars will have this kind of box in it steering is very quik in these . they are power steering .
