This is ALWAYS a GREAT show. You get to check out the Coker Tire plant and his personal collection. Very Impressive!!! also the Honest Charley shop is open to view.

Been more than 40 years since I did Bike week!!  The last real job I had was building and maintaining busses for entertainers.  Most of the drivers who took their clients to Daytona called it "Trailer Week!"  I had a bumper sticker on my truck for a while that read "I RODE MY BIKE TO TRAILER WEEK!!"

In 1973, when I arrived in Daytona, I was stopped by the police and ordered to remove the neat Lucas rectangular headlights from my scooter because only round headlights were legal!!  I bought a round fog light, (it was all I could find) and rigged it up to work.  Two years later, GM released the Monza with rectangular headlights!!

I never went back to Daytona for anything but the 500 and the Firecracker.  Winston paid me to be there.

You couldn't be more right!!

I mostly refuse to "call in a favor" so that I generally remain friends with the people i know, but for my family and true friends, I have connected on occasion.

I like my life and the anonymity that I almost have.  Sometime,  we'll meet and I'll share some of it.  'Til then, a hint or two and stories purely about me are all I'll tell.  It's nothing much special anyway.  Just a lot of luck with being in the right place at the right time, and doing the right thing.
