New engine set up, 302 for my 1947 ford rat rod
« on: November 18, 2013, 06:25:56 PM »
Well some of you may not know, but the used 400m i put in the rat rod, shit the bed. Think i lost the cam and it now has zero oil pressure and will no longer start and run. So, i have a small block for 302 out of a 5.0 litre mustang that i'm going to replace it with. Gonna change the fuel injection intake set up and i'm going with a carb set up with this motor. Here are some pic's of the new to me intake i'm gonna be using. Since the 400m is a small block, i should be able to use the C6 tranny i already have in the truck too......

That will give ya the looks.
No replacing the cam in the old beast, or was it just tired anyway?

The 400 was really tired and finally gave out.........lol, nope, won't be done for a while now. I have to get some of these dang customer builds out. The customers i'm dealing with are kewl, but i think in a way, they watch way to much reality tv and think they build should only take a week. I'm one person with more then a fulltime job.

I would lend a hand if I was going to be hanging around longer. But as it is I am cramped on time. Then again it would be my luck that the worst winter in 100 years would hit. But not until after Saturday. Got to take and do my camera thing on Saturday at the  car show.
