frame swap questions

have a 47 ford truck, my plan has been to put a 4bt or 6bt cummins engine in it.
my question is will the original 47 frame handle either one weight and strength wise or would i be better off to do a frame swap with an s10 or ranger frame?
and if so, will the cab, box ect fit on a s10 or ranger frame?  wheel base of s10 pretty close but not sure about the width. what is everyones thoughts?

You would need to modify the original frame to handle the weight and torque - box and brace it.  S10 and Ranger frames weren't really designed for that kind of weight either; the suspension would require some fortification, ie HD coils, etc.  Yes, you can make a '47 fit on an S10 chassis.
