So...I know I've been tooling around the idea of using a 500 caddy in my 35 IHC.But here is my question. Will a 1981 chevy C10 1/2 ton long bed frame work with a 35 IHC cab, fenders and such? I know there will be modifications needed. But I wanted to know if anyone had done this before.

I used a ranger frame and s10 frames are common. How does the width measure up to the 35 front end? How about the wheel base front to rear? The big Chevy may be a little wide. There are a lot of front end parts out there so slamming it will be easy if thats what you want.

Ditto lowboy. An S10 frame would have a much narrower wheel track and be better suited to keeping the tires inside the fenders - if that's what you want.

a caddy 500 wont fit in an s10 frame though

Sure it will!! We put a big block in an S10 frame!! The Caddy will fit just as well. You do have to be a little creative with motor mounts, but it can be done!!
