Joshua's Model A

Joshua's model A
Got the front and rearends mounted and rebushed Set the cowl up there just for pictures
Gonna cut the doors to fit the cowl height Was cut off when we got it then build a rear and use rough cut oak for the bed
Motors almost done just need a harmonic balancer and to build a dist outta the 3 we have

he's just finished the model a motor has all the running gear ect for the model a think they called them speeders way back then

worked on Josh's Model A today Got flywheel mounted found and installed the harmonic balancer   assembled a distributor outta 3 parts distributors found out the clutch we had isn't for this tranny so we're at a stand still for a while til he gets it of evil bay we also cut open the gas tank and found this pile of crap

Speedsters are cool, gas tank can be fixed, but a lot of speedsters ran a tank behind the seat.  Some them boys is get'n a lot of power out of the old banger 4 cal. motors, lots of speed equipment for em too.

qwik update Got the wood outta the doors (never seen a model A with wood framed doors) :o got the drivers side hinges modified to fit whats on the body still fighting the cowling hinge parts pins wont come out and somebody drilled them off center

That's a really cool project. 
I've never seen wood-framed door on any of my Model A's. Hinges are different too - like a roadster. Could they be off a Briggs? Looks like they fit just fine though.
You may have to drill those hinges out straight and sleeve them with internal bushings. They also make oversized hinge pins.

Got some more done today. Started building his cab rear I'm not a good teacher as I have zero patience watching and explaining  :o He did some of the welding and zero cutting without a MAJOR discussion! Dad's way or the highway! made him make some decisions liken to killed him
