So I have the axle out and will be using the leafspring pack as control arms. I'm cutting it off right behind the axle, leaving it clamped on with the ubolts, then cut the other leaf springs down for the upper control arms. I'll just have to weld a bushing of some sort to that one and make a axle mount. Im wanting to run coil shocks as well. Will I have to use a trackbar to keep the axle side to side movement in check?

Yes, you will have to run a panhard bar.

I have my coil shocks now and should start building the rear frame in a few weeks or so. Have a few questions.
1. whats the best way to determine how much these will compress once the weight of the car is on them?
2. they have adjustment rings on one end.how is the adjustment done.
3. does it matter if theyre mounted in front, behind,or on top of the axle?
4. should I get the multi hole weld on mounts so I can have different angle options?
-
Bumpity bump....Anyone????
-
Who made them? You should be able to look their specs up online.
You should be able to find a model number on them somewhere.
-
the spring weight determines how much they settle , most of the time if everything is correct you can expect 1-1 1/2 " of drop with the suspension weighted
-
Thanks. Wasnt sure how high to z the frame

I love the multi-hole mounts - mucho adjustability.

Thats what I was thinking. Wont need to worry to much on the z'd frame position then. Thanks for the input everyone.

Really would love a link to the whole build :)
I am building a 93 YJ Rod myself and it's such an odd choice that meeting another is a great thing!
