The problem is CASTOR!!  You need to see an alignment specialist who knows straight axles.  They can either twist the axle, shim it or adjust your suspension to relieve the problem.  Had to add 6 degrees to Lockjaw when I put it on the road!!

Stabilizer will help but not cure the problem. Like blackwater said get the front end aligned properly. What angle is the steering drag link? needs to be almost parallel to the road. That's for bump steer. Is that what may have caused the death wobble to start? Is the tires good? Flat spots will kinda do the same thing.
life is a ride where you slide into heaven sideways on 4 flats blown motor saying Thank you God what a ride!!!!!

The castor settings depend on the design of your axle!  You'll need to know from whence it came.  My axle is from a '48 Ford coupe and the settings are listed in manuals used by the industry.  Your alignment specialist will know what's proper!!!

All of those are contributing factors, again the axle angle (castor) being the most critical.  The toe  will effect the directional stability and the tire wear.  The slack in the steering isn't as critical, but it sure does great things for comfort and driving ease.

You can adjust the steering box for the slack issue and the toe can be set after the other issues are corrected. Find a professional front end specialist.  They usually have a reputation among the street rodders and sports car guys.  Most of your tire shops today don't have the knowledge or equipment to do this kind of work, so you'll have to look around if you don't already know someone.
