Tough year for the Ratrod-O-Rama. 111 degree weather and competition with the local county fair reduced attendance of both cars and spectators. Here's some pics of those who showed up:

Looks like a great time thanks for the pix. Loving the vee dubs and the 4 door mini truck.

GREAT Pics....so in the heat how did your new pickup perform ?

Last picture shows a steering reverser, pivot arm, interesting, but I smell a "death wobble" in the making. Thanks you for showing us the tin in yo neck "O de woods. Now I hope you don't have a bad fire problem again, sure seems dry.

A couple of cars of note:
1) The reddish bullet-nose Studebaker. This is a very famous show car, once named "The Rocketeer." The owner shows up with it painted a new color every year!
2) The '32 Ford Victoria. Patina - are you kidding me? That car's gotta be worth $50 grand.

Glad you caught that clever little gadget. The majority of steering boxes turn the wrong way for cowl steering; this is a simple but ingenious workaround. I can envision even changing the steering ratio with different length ends. Not sure about the death wobble; I've never heard him mention it.

Could have been more perfect! At 100* outside, the temp gauge stayed on 180 on the highway, up to 190 climbing the mountain passes. When I got into stop and go, the fan kicked on above 190 and brought it back down. Success!
My newly repaired gas gauge works too. Very reassuring knowing what's left in the tank.
