2 rear suspension questions
« on: December 01, 2014, 11:28:38 AM »
first my upper trailing arms are kinda backward triangle....going from inside of frame to outer part of diff, there's no panhard bar, rear feels a little loosey but this is backward of other one's I've seen.

second I want to replace my coilovers with one's that are adjustable, any way to tell spring weight from the old ones?
thanks in advance

Can we see a picture of your training arm setup? Oops I see it now.

I've seen various triangulated 4-links with the upper bars facing either direction so evidently they work either way. You shouldn't need a panhard with triangulated 4-link.

Re your coilovers: get ahold of a spring rate tester. Circle track guys all have them, and good suspension shops. Maybe even rentable at O'Reilly's or Autozone.

Sadly allot of springs are not marked with their ratings, so it could be anyones guess on the springs load......You should have no problem just ordering some coilovers with what ever rating you feel you need from a company like speedway motors...
Love building rat rods, driving mustangs, and building websites.
