fabulas Day
« on: December 30, 2011, 03:54:02 PM »
Temp in the high 50's so I figure to go fire up ol Blue. Well she dont. I go old school and pull coil wire, no spark. Pull plug wire to double ck, no spark. Damn. The system is MSD. So my question for anyone that has delt with???? Need I stay MSD or go PerTronix? Checking Summit and find best $$$$. Checked at local O'reilly and the thing is 51bucks. Had to replace coil about 3 to 4 years ago. The second one since installed the system. Which is about 6 maybe 7 years back.
So chime in and give me some input.

Thanks.

I would just stay with the msd if that's the route you've gone.........It's time trusted, even though the damn things still get hot like stock ones......I have just been using stock coils on mine. I had put on an accell one, but it burned and cost me to much money to keep wasting on the high dollar stuff. One thing i did do is install a ballast resistor on my set up and the coils are lasting longer.
