Run hot from advanced timing?
« on: May 22, 2014, 01:40:17 AM »
Anyone have any experience with an engine running hot from radically ADVANCED timing? I know they'll heat up from retarded timing, but I've never heard of the opposite.

My experience says no, you have something else going on still. What happens if you run the ride without a thermostat all together? Do you know if the block has been machined, like .60 over? Almost seems like the radiator is to low or the block is machined right up to the water jackets, causing overheating......
